Megan Hernandez is a creative and a filmmaker; a director, editor and writer. She started her filmmaking journey being an Assistant Director and Production Assistant in her friends’ film production Mindbender Films (2011). “Monica” is the first short film she’s ever directed after attending a 1-month intensive industry-standard Film production workshop, one of the Bacollywood workshops in Bacolod (2014).

 

Megan’s very proud of her 2nd short film called “Across the Universe” which was nominated 6 out of 9 awards and won 2, Best Editing & 3rd place Best Short Film, in Cinemagis 7 Northern Mindanao Film Festival’s Student Category. Megan has also created more short films as she entered International Academy of Film & Television in Cebu such as  “Mirror  (2015, Director), “Enough” (2016, Director), and “Fragments” (2016, Director). After she graduated, she got a job in Fashion One as a Production Assistant (May 2016) and a co-editor for a reality show called Design Genius til September 2016.

Megan has worked with TBA Studios for 4 years as a Production Associate and a Creative Associate, assisting and developing films such as Kung Paano Siya Nawala and Tayo Sa Huling Buwan Ng Taon. She has directed “Eats Good” an online cooking series and Iken Ramirez’s “Secret” Music Video for the production company. She is currently freelancing and an assistant & apprentice of Director Jerrold Tarog (Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, Heneral Luna. Sana Dati).

She is also interested in Photography, Writing Fiction, and Digital Art.
